The EisBär Portal Service connects the app and the KNX installation securely to the outside world – without port forwarding, DynDNS or VPN on the home router. The connection is initiated from the installation itself, the router stays untouched and no port needs opening. This also works behind CGNAT and on connections without a fixed IP address (cable, LTE/5G).
Two services
Client – residents or operators access their own installation from anywhere with the EisBär app: visualisation, control, status. On site, the EisBär Portal Connector registers the installation with the Portal and keeps the outbound connection open.
KNX2GO ETS remote programming – the system integrator programs the KNX installation via ETS remotely, as if sitting directly on the bus on site. Two programs work together for this: the EisBär ETS Connector at the technician’s end and the EisBär ETS Remote Agent at the installation. In ETS, the remote installation appears as an ordinary KNXnet/IP interface – programming, group and bus monitor work just like on site, KNX IP Secure included. The path between the ETS Connector and the Remote Agent is end-to-end encrypted; remote access can be blocked on site at any time, including by a KNX telegram from within the installation.
Both services can run in parallel in the same installation and are independent of each other. Each service requires its own licence, booked per installation and service.
This licence is valid for 1 year (365 days), for one installation and one service.
After receipt of payment you will receive an activation code by e-mail. Use it in the EisBär portal to set up a new access – or deposit it on an existing installation, where it extends the term without interruption. Please state the e-mail address the code should be sent to when ordering.
