EisBär DLM Controller 6

Includes license for 6 charging points

Dynamic charging management controller for charging parks with up to 40 charging points

The EisBär DLM Controller 6 is a powerful, dynamic charging management controller for AC, DC, and high-power charging stations. It handles intelligent load control and network control for charging parks with up to 40 charging points. For larger systems with 40 or more charging points, a scalable software solution based on EisBär dongle licenses (Architect/Enterprise) is available.

Control can be either static with a predefined current value at the feed-in point or fully dynamic based on the currently available energy – e.g., by measuring at the house connection and additionally integrating a PV system as “double dynamic” control. Integrated drivers for charging stations from different manufacturers enable direct connection; brands and types can be freely mixed within a single system. The optional maximum monitor reliably prevents load peaks at the house connection. The available total power is intelligently distributed to all active charging points so that all connected electric vehicles are charged with the maximum available power – including phase-accurate regulation of the charging currents.

An integrated calendar makes it easy to implement approvals, reservations, and time-dependent strategies for individual charging points. The controller is connected to the electricity price exchange: with dynamic electricity tariffs, the charging process can start automatically as soon as the energy price falls below a configurable price. With EisBär's LNOT™ (Local Network of Things), the system operates entirely locally, is independent of the internet, and offers maximum stability and secure data exchange on site. The DLM controller acts as a local OCPP backend, including an OCPP proxy for connection to external backend systems – without ongoing backend costs. Any number of charging points can be provided with freely definable maximum power per charging point. The system can be implemented redundantly with two controllers; the basic function is adapted to the specific project.

Software details

  • Dynamic control with continuous tracking via power measurement in the building or static control via a fixed current value for the house connection
  • Integration of PV systems and electricity storage systems, including “PV only” charging
  • Prioritization of charging points via configurable priority levels
  • Speed option for maximum charging speed through redistribution of unused power
  • Phase-accurate regulation of charging currents through targeted control of individual charging points
  • Integrated OCPP proxy function for forwarding individual or all wallboxes to a higher-level OCPP backend (e.g., for billing and/or authorization)
  • RFID card management locally or in the higher-level backend, including budget/prepaid function
  • Connection of wallboxes via OCPP 1.6 / 2.0.1, OPC UA, Modbus RTU/TCP or UDP
  • Logging of charging processes, including authentication and amount of energy transferred
  • PMS connection: Transfer of charging management data to hotel booking or property management systems via the integrated PMS interface
  • Output of charging currents per charging point and for the entire charging park
  • Option for power reduction in accordance with Section 14a of the German Energy Industry Act (EnWG) (hardware connection on site)
  • Remote maintenance option pre-installed, Internet connection on site
